Welcome to SPSL!

We are a small Church of England Primary School grounded in family values; we foster compassion, understanding and kindness. As one of the few remaining one-form entry primary schools, we can ensure each child feels known and included.

We aim to provide an excellent education based on the principles of the Church of England, welcoming those of the Christian faith, those of other faiths and those of none. We understand that faith is the unseen warp and weft of the love that weaves our community together

The children at SPSL eat and learn about real, nutritious and delicious food in our school kitchen. Our head chef, Dan, is a member of Chefs in Schools ("join the school food revolution"), cooking fresh food from scratch every day and using nothing pre-packaged. Even the tomato ketchup and bread are made in house!

We have created an environment in our outdoor areas in which our children develop a life-long relationship with the natural world. Implemented by trained practitioners, our children get the full Forest School experience within their own school.
