"Shared values are explored during collective worship which is shaped by the Anglican foundation of the school. This creates meaningful moments for spiritual development." SIAMS 2023
FAITH AT THE HEART OF OUR MISSION
We aim to provide an excellent education based on the principles of the Church of England, welcoming those of the Christian faith, those of other faiths and those of none. We understand that faith is the unseen warp and weft of the love that weaves our community together. With God's love and hope in our hearts we embrace and promote the importance of faith. Whether young or old we flourish as unique children of God.

OUR SCHOOL AND OUR CHURCH
We love to go to our church throughout the year to celebrate significant times within the Christian calendar, from Harvest Festival to Christmas, Easter to Year 6 Leavers Service. All are welcome in our loving community. Mother Bernadette supports weekly in-school worship. Read more about our church here.
SIAMS
The Statutory Inspection of Anglican and Methodist Schools
The inspection focuses on the impact of the Church school’s Christian vision on pupils and adults. This involves looking at the school’s Christian vision, the provision the school makes because of this vision and how effective this provision is in enabling all pupils to flourish. Church schools will employ a variety of strategies and styles appropriate to, and reflective of, their particular context in order to be distinctively and effectively Christian in their character and ethos. SIAMS inspectors therefore do not look for a set template of what a Church school should be like, but rather take the particular context of the school into account and base their evaluation on the outcomes rather than the process.

SPIRITUAL AND REFLECTIVE
As a school we want to develop the whole child which means their spiritual, moral, social and cultural development (see www.doing smsc.org.uk). We can do this by:
- providing teaching opportunities to learn about themselves, others and the world around them, including the intangible
- appreciating and taking into account other people’s preferences enabling
- children to use their creativity and imagination in their learning
- supporting children to reflect on their experiences.
