Relationship and Health Education

As a school we understand the importance of being open and transparent with parents. We understand that the introduction of Relationships & Sex Education (RSE) in primary schools is an emotive issue and would like to reassure parents that the subject will be handled appropriately and sensitively.

At SPSL we have decided not to teach the non-statutory element of the Primary School RSE curriculum which is about conception, therefore our policy is named Relationships and Health Education (RHE).

In order to help you understand the subject we have published a number of documents to answer any questions you may have, and would encourage you to read these. There are also a number of external links, which provide further information for you.

Following consultation with parents and formal approval by the Governing body, the revised and final RHE policy is now available.
